Over the years, I’ve discovered there are two kinds of young professionals; the willing students and the unwilling students. The willing students are more successful because they value learning and growth over money and aren’t slaves to their own expectations or everyone’s opinion. As willing students, these individuals are willing to learn, grow and demonstrate a patient persistence that is necessary in creating and sustaining success.

The willing students approach their careers as learning organizations in a way that expands their thinking and ability to adapt to market changes. Willing students are intimate with the process. Instead of obsessing with the outcome, they focus on what brings results - understanding people, learning to communicate properly, having bold visions, performing frequent experiments and disciplined documentation of what works and what doesn't. As a result of this willingness to learn and grow, they're able to increase the quality of their presence and influence in the marketplace overtime.

My name is Tawanda Chirenda. I used to think passion was enough to grow your career, go through life as a young professional, and succeed with your employers. I was wrong, very wrong. I discovered the hard way that you need strategy. I discovered you need to learn how to lead yourself first before you can lead anyone else.

I am now a Willing Student and I am on a mission to teach others what I have learned and what I am still learning. I want to be your coach first and then show you how to become your own best coach and make the impact you want to have with your career and your life.

We Don’t Sell Time, We Sell Value.

Becoming a Willing Student Young Professionals is an immersive, high impact program designed to take you to the next level of your career. Our minimum commitment period is three months. In the real world it is extremely rare to achieve breakthrough results with a single test. That’s why you will get the best results from an iterative (rinse, repeat) process where we continually learn about you, your goals, and your best career growth opportunities. Throughout this period, we'll work closely with you, and become an extension of your career development team. Our program is offered via a flat monthly fee.

At our core, we’re thinkers. Our greatest value to you is our ability to think. Unlike most career coaching programs, we don’t want to divert attention away from that which matters most – thought and more importantly the value of thoughts – and not the amount of time it takes to execute those thoughts.

We don’t need to concentrate on this phase right now. The main focus is on finding out what should be done in the first place to grow your career and expand your influence and impact.
